Hard to say exactly because you don’t wake up one morning being a scientist. I had my first experiment in secondary school around 13 years old but I really specialise myself in geology at 18 years old.

I started my own science experiments or documenting bugs in my home when I was around 12.

I never aimed to be a scientist. I just enjoyed learning. I became an engineer first. I simply picked up skills and certifications along the way that made it easier to access the information I needed. I got my PhD when I was 33 years old, officially making me a scientist. đŸ™‚

Hard to say, same es for “When did you become a piano player?”: when you first put your hand on the piano? When you start taking lessons (=study)? When you first play in public? When you can live from it? Depending on the definition, I became a scientist when I was ~14, 19, 23, 25 years old.
