I wanted to know more about what was around me and how nature work. Science was a great tool to do so.

I liked learning the working principles of things happening around me – natural phenomena and gadgets at home. I didn’t aim to be a scientist. I have other qualifications.
I enjoyed the research aspect during a Master’s degree project and I decided to give it a shot. 5 years later, I officially became a scientist.

I have been always very curious and wanting to know the why/mechanisms of things, especially in biology and nature. I think this would be one of the reasons.
